Intel reiterates that the Rocket Lake S is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2021 and will combine Cypress Cove core and Gen12Xe Graphics. And that's not new. We already know it from the previous Linux patch. Intel also said Rocket Lake would provide

-The new cypress Cove architecture features ice lake core architecture and tiger Lake graphics architecture.

-More obvious intergenerational performance.
-Up to 20 CPU pcie4.0 channels, more flexible configuration.
-Enhanced Intel UHD graphics, using Intel Xe graphics architecture.
-Quick sync video provides better video transcoding and hardware acceleration for the latest codecs.
-New over frequency function, provides more flexible tuning performance.
-Support Intel deep learning promotion and vnni.
Given the great success we've achieved with Xe graphics on Linux, we're certainly looking forward to eventually seeing gen9 replaced by gen12 graphics on the desktop. For desktop integrated graphics, this should be very exciting. Considering that Intel has stayed on gen9 graphics for a long time, this upgrade is bound to be a big leap. Besides, the performance of cypress Cove will be very interesting.
