The U.S. Dish announced it will test Qualcomm G RAN 5 chips

U.S. Dish Network announced plans to test Qualcomm's recently released five G RAN of chips for its upcoming next-generation network, which is expected to give Qualcomm, which plans to enter the Open RAN market, a large supply deal, foreign media reported.

A representative of dish told mobile world live that the company will test the three 5g ran platforms that Qualcomm released last month to support open technology, and if all goes well, its current and future network providers will adopt Qualcomm's technology in their devices.

Qualcomm had previously said its RAN chips would not be available until the first half of 2022, but Dish representatives said the company planned to use Intel technology before making an initial SA 5G deployment.
