There is a popular rumor in the Chinese Internet: arm's performance can't match the desktop level processor, and now it seems that it has failed. 2. Continuous performance, heating and heat dissipation test
We used cinebench R23, a 10 minute cycle roasted chicken and a game, which compared crush performance.
The frequency reduction, heating and fan conditions were recorded.

In cinebench's 10 minute test, the performance of M1 air without fan is significantly lower than that of Pro M1 and mini M1 by 7500 points. It is obvious that the frequency reduction of heating caused by fan free is quite large. Let's take a look at the frame rate stability of the game
Intel air can only maintain 40-50 frame rate in the first six seconds, and then it begins to decline in a straight line after 6 seconds, and only 30 frames in 30 seconds. The performance of M1 was unexpected. There was no fan, but there was no effect in the first three minutes. After five minutes, the number of frames dropped slightly, and the frame number fluctuated in the next 30 minutes, jumping back and forth between 80 and 90. Touch the bottom of the screen and the back of the motherboard, there is scalding, but the Intel model is more serious than the M1 model.
Since the M1 air has no fan, it keeps quiet at 0 dB throughout the whole process.
Intel air has a small fan with a speed of 5000rpm, which keeps running at high speed throughout the rendering of video and games. The noise is still very disturbing. The noise value measured by Apple watch reaches 42db.
