In the case of product (red) echo, 10 of the $99.99 price will go to charity. In return, buyers get smart speakers with a brighter finish than Amazon has offered so far.
However, inside the red fabric shell, it is the original fourth generation echo smart speaker. In addition, the shape of the loudspeaker has been changed: from a thick cylinder to a sphere, the sun has added a double tweeter and an up emitting bass speaker. The result is a significant improvement in sound quality.
If you happen to have a lot of money, you can pair two echo speakers together wirelessly, use them as a stereo set-up, or connect them to a fire TV set-top box for home theater use.
Another new smart home hub feature in the fourth generation model was previously limited to echo plus, which allows speakers to connect directly to ZigBee devices such as doorbells, cameras and other security sensors, and allows Alexa to control them via voice commands.
Although the price of product (red) echo will not be higher than that of other finishes, it should be noted that 6 months of free unlimited access to Amazon music does not exist in this special edition.
