Since AMD announced the introduction of Smart Access Memory technology, AMD Ryzen 5000 series of CPU have access to all the visible memory in the series, and many people worry that this feature can only be implemented on the AMD 3 A platform. Now, however, things have turned around, and AMD will, according to TOMSHARDWARE, liberalise compatibility restrictions on intel CPU and nvidia GPU.
In an interview with the media, amd officials said that they are cooperating with Intel, and the GPU of its radon RX 6000 series will achieve the same functions as Intel's latest CPU and its supporting motherboard. AMD's ryzen 5000 Series CPU also has such a plan to introduce smart access memory technology into NVIDIA's gefore series GPUs.
As amd has not released the relevant technical details, it is not clear about AMD's current customized approach in the collocation of ryzen 5000 Series CPU, 500 Series motherboard and GPU of rad RX 6000 series. If amd has done a lot of hardware level optimization, then using AMD's 3A platform will have more standardized technology implementation means than Intel and NVIDIA, and will probably have better performance.
AMD also said in an interview that the technology isn't an open one at all
We'll see how long it will take Intel and NVIDIA to catch up.
