Since the release of Apple M1 chip, it has received great attention. The huge improvement of MAC product performance has also made more manufacturers pay attention to the potential of ARM chip.

Recently, @ Mauri QHD, a well-known informant, revealed that,AMD is already producing prototypes of M1 competitors, and the company is developing two versions of the chip, one with integrated ram and one without.

According to foreign media notebookcheck,As early as 2016, amd announced the launch of an arm architecture chip called K12 core. Unfortunately, K12 core did not come into the market. It seems that AMD may make a comeback this time.

As for the M1 chip, Apple has introduced that it has a unified memory architecture, and integrates CPU, GPU and NPU at the same time. The CPU has eight cores. It has four performance cores and four energy efficiency cores. Each core can be operated independently. It has super single core and multi task computing ability. It can greatly improve the performance while achieving extremely low energy consumption.

However, at present, many programs and applications are not suitable for ARM architecture chips,The x86 processor will remain dominant for some time to come.
