AMD's rdna3 architecture exposure: dual core MCM architecture, performance is expected to double

The rdna3 architecture needs to continue to add Cu units, but the implementation method is somewhat special.

According to Twitter users, the next-generation flagship core Navi 31 may adopt MCM multi chip packaging design,It is composed of two groups of chips, each of 80 groups of Cu units, which together will be 160 groups of Cu units. The scale will be doubled, and the theoretical performance will also be doubled.

It was also disclosed earlier that AMD has developed a new technology based on MCM and a new command processor to coordinate the optical pursuit of the next generation of GPU, which may be developed for rdna3.

As for the release time of rdna3 graphics card, it should be corresponding to zen4 architecture in CPU. With 5nm technology, it will come out in 2022. The fastest release time is at the end of this year, similar to rx6000 graphics card last year.
