At present, more than 10 people have died of the disease and more than 50 are hospitalized for treatment. The disease can cause patients to vomit blood, the regional medical institutions have conducted two sampling and testing, but there is no clear diagnosis.
The health official also said that most of the patients with this unknown disease are male, suffering from gastric ulcer and liver disease, and they have been advised to avoid drinking illicit alcohol, strong liquor and smoking.
It is reported that blood samples from patients and drinking water samples from the area have been sent to national testing institutions to determine whether there is mercury pollution.
According to previous reports, the country had a similar disease in 2018, when several patients had symptoms such as stomachache, vomiting and fever.
