According to a report released by market research firm GartnerIn the fourth quarter of 2020, compared with the same period in 2019, the global sales of smart phones decreased by 5.4%, and the overall sales in 2020 decreased by 12.5%.There are many reasons for the decline in sales. The main reason is that the impact of COVID-19 has caused many people to tighten their economy and people have been postpone the purchase of new equipment.
Gartner's data is somewhat different from IDC's analysis report released at the end of January. IDC said the global smartphone market grew in the fourth quarter, with a smaller decline for the whole year. However, there is one similarity between the two groups of data, that is, Huawei's sales have declined seriously.
