In March 24, 2017, an autopilot of Uber collided with another SUV on the road test. In August 26, 2017, there were more than ten traffic accidents in Google automatic driving vehicle.

Automatic driving is difficult to achieve, but the cause of automatic driving accidents is basically human.

The report said that when the owner tried to park the Tesla vehicle in the garage or on the side of the road, the vehicle suddenly accelerated. There are also some owners said that sudden acceleration occurred in the process of traffic or the use of automatic driving assistance system, eventually leading to a crash. After a year of detailed evaluation, the national highway traffic safety administration of the United States held that the vast majority of accidents were not caused by technical failures of Tesla vehicles, but were caused by misoperation of vehicle owners, and Tesla's design would not improve the probability of misoperation of vehicle owners.

Human beings allow themselves to make mistakes, but for autonomous driving, there is no conclusion about the safety of infinite approach.

However, according to the experience of ISO safety certification of traditional automobile manufacturers, for safety, take the 10-year-old with the highest human survival rate as the standard, as long as the safety of the car is higher than the 10-year-old, the human survival rate is considered to be safe enough.
