On April 12, Hurun Research Institute released Hurun global U40 self made billionaires 2021, which lists the billion dollar entrepreneurs under the age of 40 (including 40) and starting from scratch.
According to the list, there are 79 self-made billion dollar entrepreneurs under the age of 40, 26 more than last year. The total wealth increased by 1.5 trillion over last year to 3.4 trillion, which is equivalent to one year's GDP of Wuhan and one year's GDP of Beijing.
The top six are from China. Tiktok, founder of the 38 year old Zhang Yiming, has increased wealth by 250 billion yuan, equivalent to 7 hundred million increase in the year, reaching 350 billion yuan, ranking second in the world.
Thanks to the fast listing, 39 year old Kwai hang and 36 year old Cheng Yi laugh first entered the world's top five. Suhua's wealth more than quadrupled last year, ranking third with $155 billion. Cheng Yixiao's wealth more than quadrupled last year, ranking fourth with 125 billion yuan.
Zhang Bangxin, the 40 year old founder of XRS, an extracurricular tutoring organization, grew 49% in wealth and stayed sixth with 100 billion yuan. Wang Ning and Yang Tao, 34 years old, made the list for the first time with 52 billion yuan, making them into the top 10 in China. In addition, Xu Yi, 32, made the list for the first time with 27 billion yuan, making it into China's top 10.
