On April 14, Mo Yan, the first Chinese Nobel Laureate in literature and a famous writer, was awarded the honorary doctor of literature by the University of Hong Kong. The certificate was awarded online today.
It is understood that this is Mo Yan's 13th honorary doctor. Previously, he was awarded honorary doctorates by the Open University of Hong Kong, Fokuang University of Taiwan and the University of exex Marseilles in France.
At 7:00 p.m. (Beijing time) on October 11, 2012, the Swedish Nobel prize awarding Committee announced in Stockholm that it would award the 2012 Nobel Prize for literature to Chinese writer Mo Yan.
