On the official technology blog, John cable, the head of Microsoft, introduced some maintenance issues of windows 11.

About windows 11 being updated once a year,Cable revealed that this is based on user feedback. Win10 updates twice a year have not been widely accepted by userswelcome.

It is reported that the function update will be launched in the second half of each year. After all, the official version of win11 will be around October 20.

Cable revealed that windows 11 includes home edition, professional edition, professional workstation edition, professional education edition, etc., and their support time is 24 months (here refers to every major update), while windows 10 enterprise edition is as long as 36 months.

Of course, win11 will continue to push security patches once a month.

As for when the life cycle of windows 11 will end, cable did not disclose, but stressed that win10 will end support on October 14, 2025, which seems to imply that win11 has a similar plan, that is, to exit the stage in 2031.
