In the second half of this year, ddr5 memory can be upgraded as soon as the end of October. This time, Intel's 12th generation core alder lake will first support ddr5.Sk Hynix also said at the financial report meeting a few days ago that ddr5 memory will be mass produced in the next few months.

The ddr5 standard has been released for more than a year. Compared with DDR4, it continues to improve performance and reduce power consumption. The standard voltage is further reduced from 1.2V to 1.1V,The maximum single channel capacity ranges from 32GB to 128GB (single die density is 64GB), and the maximum standard frequency doubles from 3200mhz to 6400mhz (the actual target is 8400mhz). At this time, the bandwidth reaches 51gb / s, which is basically twice that of ddr4-3200.

In addition, ddr5 supports ECC error verification and no professional platform is required.

Sk Hynix is one of the three largest DRAM chip companies in the world. Samsung and Meguiar have launched ddr5 chips before. Meguiar's progress is very fast this time, but SK Hynix is slower in comparison. It will be mass produced in the second half of this year.

Ddr5 this year's adaptation object is almost only alder lake, which is Intel's 12th generation core,And use the large and small core architecture for the first time, with up to 16 cores and 24 threads.
