IT House September 22 News Yesterday, Apple released an official update to iOS 15. In the early hours of this morning, Apple introduced developers to updates that verifie health records.
With iOS 15, Apple says, users can download and store verifiable health records based on smart Health Cards in the Health app. These health records will also include vaccination and test results for COVID-19.
When an approved third-party app, such as an airline, event venue, and other business that facilitates face-to-face communication, requests this information, users can choose to share verifiable health records stored in the Health app with them.
IT House understands that in upcoming software updates, users can also choose to add verifiable COVID-19 vaccination records to Apple's Wallet app as vaccination cards to showcase to businesses and venues ahead.
Apple says organizations that issue smart health cards will soon be able to easily notify users with a new button to safely download and store their vaccination information in the Health app and quickly add and display it from the Wallet app. Apple will soon provide developers with relevant patterns and guidelines for use.
