Did you use wi-fi 6?
The reality is that Wi-Fi is coming in seven years.
In its latest release, Intel introduces the Wi-Fi 7 standard, also known as IEEE 802.11BE.
According to Intel,Wi-fi 7 delivers a wireless connection rate of 30Gbps or more, about 3.6 times faster than wi-fi 6.
The specification includes upgrading the modulation from 1024QAM to 4096QAM, continuing OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access).
Increased bandwidth from 160MHz to 320MHz, introduced support for the newly opened 6GHz band (up to three non-overlapping 320MHz channels in the 5.925ghz to 7.125ghz range), and downward compatibility with 2.4ghz and 5GHz. MIMO (Multi-user INPUT/output) designs have been doubled from a maximum of eight spatial streams to 16.
Of course, the official wi-fi 7 version is not publicly available, but the alliance expects it to be finalized sometime between November 2023 and May 2024, and there will even be support for 60GHz. It can be activated through BIOS or external hardware.
