On October 3rd Tesla CEO Musk sent a message congratulating the Tesla team on its excellent performance in the third quarter.
Musk said,Congratulations to the Tesla team and thank you very much to our suppliers and logistics partners for overcoming these difficulties.
Tesla is reported to have produced about 238,000 vehicles worldwide in the third quarter and delivered more than 240,000 vehicles.
Specifically, Tesla produced 237823 cars and delivered 241,300 in the third quarter.
Of these, 8,941 Model S and Model X models were produced and 9,275 delivered, while the Model 3 and Model Y produced 228882 vehicles with 232025 units delivered.
Tesla's deliveries hit a record high, beating analysts' expectations of 223677 vehicles.
The U.S. and China are tesla's largest markets, with Tesla producing Model S, X, 3 and Y at its plants in Fremont, California, and Shanghai, China, making Model 3 and Y, and new plants under construction in Austin, Texas, and Berlin.
