AMD will host Accelerated Data Center Premier on November 8, 2021 at 11 am EST Showcasing the company's upcoming AMD EPYC processor and AMD Instinct accelerator card.
AMD President and CEO Lisa Su, Dr. Forrest Norrod, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Data Center and Embedded Solutions business group, and Dan McNamara, Senior Vice president and General manager of the Server business group will speak at the virtual event.
From what has been revealed so far, AMD is expected to unveil its Milan-X EPYC family of processors at this event, which will feature special 3D V-cache technology, even before the Vermeer-X consumer line, which is also based on Zen3 microarchitecture.
In addition, AMD may launch the first product based on a multi-chip module design (MCM), even before Intel's Ponte Vecchio (XE-HPC) and NVIDIA GH100 (Hopper).
IT Home reported a few days ago that the AMD Instinct MI250X acceleration card equipped with AN MCM GPU, with 110 computing units, 128GB OF HBM2e RAM and 500W TDP design, is expected to debut next year, so IT is hard to say whether this event will be unveiled or not.
It's worth noting that AMD's event is being held just one day before NVIDIA's GTC 2021, and NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang is also expected to unveil new AI technologies and products during his GTC keynote.
