Dmitry Middot, president of Roscosmos; Russia and the United States have agreed to jointly explore Venus, Rogozin said Tuesday.

Rogozin made the disclosure in the show solovyov Live, which aired on YouTube on the same day.

Russia plans to launch the Venus-D mission in November 2029, Sputnik news agency reported. The project was originally planned as a russia-U.S. partnership, but Roscosmos announced last year that Russia would carry out the mission independently, with no plans for large-scale international cooperation.

Two more missions are planned for June 2031 and June 2034 to study the Venusian atmosphere and collect soil samples if possible.

NASA announced in June that it plans to conduct two missions to Venus between 2028 and 2030. The first, the Noble Gases, Chemistry and Imaging Study Mission deep in the Venusian Atmosphere, or DAVINCI+ for short, aims to gather information on the composition of the Venusian atmosphere and study whether oceans existed on the surface and were once habitable. The second, the Venus Emissivity, Radio Science, Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry, Topography and Spectroscopy Mission, or VERITAS, will study the geological formation of Venus.

A NASA spokesman told Russia's Sputnik news agency in June that the United States was willing to discuss other plans with Russia for joint exploration of Venus. (End) (Shen Min)
