Tesla has announced an official recall of 475,000 Model 3 and Model S electric vehicles, a frightening number that is almost within reach of all of 2020's deliveries.
This afternoon, the State Administration for Market Regulation also published tesla's recall policy in China, involving a total of nearly 200,000 imported and domestic cars.
It is reported that the reasons for this recall are the same as the previous announcement of overseas functions, including two problems. One is that there may be a slight deviation between the front spare box latch and the lock, resulting in the front spare box may not be locked. The front spare box cover may be suddenly opened while the vehicle is moving, affecting the driver's line of sight, increasing the risk of collision and causing potential safety hazards.
In addition, the trunk cover of some vehicles may cause excessive wear and tear after repeated opening and closing for a long time. If the wear causes the inner core of the coaxial cable to separate,It may cause the reversing image to not work properly, thus affecting the driver's vision when reversing. In extreme cases, it will increase the risk of collision when reversing, and there are potential safety hazards.
Tesla China said it would provide free inspections and repairs to the recalled vehicles to eliminate potential safety hazards.
It should be noted that Tesla China emphasizes that users should drive their vehicles cautiously before the recall and repair, and contact tesla service center for repair as soon as possible after the recall begins.
