via:凤凰网     time:2022/3/25 9:00:26     readed:138

Four Russian citizens working for the Russian government carried out cyber attacks on hundreds of companies in the global energy industry, including the operator of a nuclear power facility in Kansas, the U.S. Justice Department announced Thursday.

The case is part of a series of prosecutions in the United States aimed at curbing state-sponsored hacking attacks. Federal prosecutors have accused an employee affiliated with Russia's Defense Ministry of installing "backdoors" into computer systems and deploying malicious software aimed at undermining the security of energy facilities.

A separate indictment alleges that three employees of Russia's Federal Security Service, the FSB, spent a year targeting and hacking computer systems in the energy sector.
