On April 13, Sohu announced that it confirmed that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) included companies in the designation list based on the Foreign Companies Accountability Act and did not intend to challenge the SEC's provisional determination.

On April 12, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) added 12 Chinese-listed companies, including Sohu and OneConnect, to the "pre-delisting" list, the fifth batch of Chinese-listed companies to be included in the list since March.
The Chinese stocks listed in the pre-delisting include: Microvast (Microvast), China Automobile System, Daqo New Energy, Connatural Biologics, OneConnect, Green Map Biotechnology, Legendary Bio, Sohu, Melco Shadow, Melco Boya Entertainment, Logiq and Noah Holdings.
According to the SEC announcement, the deadline for the 12 companies included in the pre-delist to submit their defenses is May 3, local time.
