Vrr is the function of PS5 promised at the beginning of 2020, and did not expect it to come now. VRR is simply to synchronize the display frame rate and the PS5 host output frame rate, which can reduce the sense of screen, and improve the game fluency.
Sony said that after the system is updated, the VRR will automatically turn on after identifying the support environment, and the user can go to the video output settings to be manually turned off. The so-called support environment is mainly two points, one is the display device (TV, display, etc.) support HDMI 2.1 VRR, and the other is the game support.
According to Sony's statement, the released PS5 game can be upgraded by patch to support VRR, where the first batch of games include 15, respectively:
