NetEase Cloud Music sued Tencent Music for unfair competition

On April 27, NetEase Cloud Music announced that it had formally filed a judicial lawsuit against Tencent Music for unfair competition, suing Tencent Music for carrying out unfair competition through a series of measures such as illegally pirated songs and batch impersonation of songs.

NetEase Cloud Music believes that Tencent Music Entertainment Group has infringed its copyright by illegally piracy and secretly releasing unauthorized songs, batch impersonating songs, following up on our product innovation, evading or even resisting supervision, etc., and constitutes an act of unfair competition. The main acts include malicious copyright infringement, and suspected of fighting rectification and long-term plagiarism of NetEase Cloud Music's visual design, product functions, and innovative mechanisms.

NetEase Cloud Music urges Tencent Music Entertainment Group to immediately rectify its products and businesses and stop all acts of unfair competition:

1. Immediately stop the infringing acts, including but not limited to removing the infringing works, stopping the act of impersonating and washing songs, and rectifying the relevant infringing functions;

2. Immediately stop unscrupulous acts of unfair competition, and conduct healthy competition from the perspective of strengthening content creation and user experience;

3. Immediately check the violations of laws and regulations in each business, and recommend business ethics training for all employees, strengthen the sense of self-discipline, and timely carry out moral correction. Related Reading:
