AMD will release its new RX 6X50XT series of graphics cards on May 10, and the configuration information and pricing of the cards have been revealed in advance. Videocardz has confirmed the price of the new graphics cards. The three new cards have increased in price, but will bring better performance, bandwidth and power.
The RX 6650XT retails for $399, $20 more than the RX 6600XT; The 6750XT costs $549, $70 more than the 6700XT; The 6950XT costs $1,099, $100 more than the 6900XT. The price of the three old cards in China is 2999 yuan, 3699 yuan and 7999 yuan respectively, and the price of the new card is expected to be 200~1000 yuan more in China.
The PRICE of RX 6X50XT series has increased, but the performance has also been greatly improved. The 3DMark TimeSpy run by WccfTech showed that the RX 6650XT scored 22,209 points, 6.5% ahead of the 20855 points scored by the RTX3090Ti and 12.8% better than the RTX3090. The other two cards also offer significant performance improvements over competing cards in Nvidia's lineup.
Specifically, the RX 6750XT is 7% better than the old card and 2% better than the RTX3070. The RX 6650XT is 2% better than the old card and 23% better than the RTX3060. Of course, this is just the TimeSpy run score, not the actual game performance of the graphics card. But can also reflect the side, AMD's new generation of graphics card performance is really strong, not inferior to RTX30 series.
However, the core specifications of the three new graphics cards are not significantly upgraded, mainly in the form of higher graphics frequency and memory bandwidth to achieve performance improvements, and the corresponding graphics cards will also increase TBP. Among them, the reference frequency increases by 51~85MHz, the acceleration frequency increases by 19~60MHz, and the power consumption increases by 20~35W.
Recently, the price of game graphics cards began to plunge, many models are close to the original price, but game players are not willing to pay, are afraid to buy refurbished mining cards. Perhaps AMD chose this time to release a slightly upgraded version of the RX 6X50XT series to ease concerns about possible mining cards, so that consumers can directly buy new graphics cards.
Not surprisingly, AMD and Nvidia are expected to introduce a new generation of graphics cards in the second half of the year that will significantly improve the performance of their current offerings. Buying old cards doesn't seem like a good deal at this point, so if you're not in a hurry, you can wait a few more months for another surprise price this year.
