Xiaomiui recently found the product model CB0401 in IMEI database, which is reported to be Xiaomi's first 5G CPE Pro device.
5G CPE is essentially portable Wi-Fi, or mobile routing. In addition to the wireless routing that can be used to connect to wired broadband, it can pick up 5G signals and broadcast them as Wi-Fi so that more devices can connect to the Internet wirelessly.
The mobile route is expected to support the country's four largest carriers, as well as the latest Wi-Fi 6.
It is understood that the current market of relatively high-end mobile routing is generally equipped with color display screen, built-in lithium battery, but also provide USB-C for charging and data transmission.
However, compared with common routing, CPE devices are often expensive due to the built-in 5G baseband and antenna modules. Will Xiaomi, which has always been known for its cost-effective performance, surprise us? Wait and see.
