Apple today released tvOS 15.5, version number (19L570). This is the fifth major update to the tvOS operating system, which was first released in September 2021. TvOS 15.5 comes more than two months after the release of tvOS 15.4, an update that brought support for proprietary WiFi networks.

TvOS 15.5 can be downloaded OTA on Apple TV via the Settings app by going to System. Software Update. Apple TV users who enable automatic software updates will automatically upgrade to tvOS 15.5.

Apple's tvOS updates are typically small, focusing on internal Bug fixes, performance updates, and minor tweaks rather than major outward changes. During Beta testing, no new features were found in tvOS 15.5, so it is unclear what will be included in the update.
