Logitech G has officially announced a partnership with Tencent Games to launch a cloud gaming console supporting a variety of cloud gaming services later this year, but gave no other details.
According to Uncle Tail, founder of AYANEO Console, Logitech and Tencent are working on an Android-based, cloud-based game console with low configuration.
IT Home understands that the gaming console combines Logitech G's expertise in hardware with Tencent Games' expertise in software services. The new device will support a variety of cloud gaming services, including Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce NOW, which will allow gamers to play AAA titles on the console.
If Uncle Tail's tip is correct, the console is expected to be an Android phone + gamepad adaptation, but we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.
Tencent was awarded a patent for a "game console" in May. According to the patent summary, the product is intended for gaming and entertainment, and the key point of the design is the shape of the product. The patent image shows a black and orange console, flanked by joysticks and buttons, resembling a Switch.
