On the afternoon of August 9, the World 5G Conference was held in Harbin. At the 5G-A/6G forum, Wang Jun, vice president of Huawei Wireless Network Product Line and chief scientist of 6G, delivered a keynote speech.

Wang Jun mentioned that & ldquo; 6G is not a simple upgrade of 5G, but a leap -up improvement. & rdquo; He also emphasized that the global unified 6G standard is the only way.In 6G research and development, Huawei will also promote the global unified standards with partners.

In Wang Jun's view, 6G has six key technical directions: native intelligence, extreme connection, network perception, star land fusion, native credibility, carbon neutrality.

He mentioned that the 6G vision is to cross the United Nations, the Internet of Things, and move towards the Wise Federation.6G definition is to increase intelligence and perception on the basis of the three major scenes of 5G.

6G has six typical application scenarios, including:

1. Distributed network machine learning and interconnection AI

2. Perception, positioning and imaging

3. People -centered immersive communication

4. Smart city and smart life

5. Full functional industry 4.0 and its evolution

6. Mobile services global coverage.

In terms of spectrum, 6G will be a multi -layer spectrum. Use the low frequency band in the basic coverage layer, the capacity/coverage layer (new intermediate frequency 7-15GHz), and the ultimate experience layer uses high frequency bands.

Many experts believe that 6G technology may be commercialized in 2030. It is expected that the digital world will be seamlessly integrated with the physical world by 2030, and the ability to calculate will have the ability to simulate, restore, and enhance the physical world.
