NVIDIA a few days ago officially opened to sell RTX 4090 graphics card, this is a new generation of nuclear bomb/card Huang, price of 12999 yuan, although before the market was joked about the price is expensive, and even broke the signs of hair, but after the market situation is completely different, not only did not break hair, the price also rose.
Not just the price increase,The supply of RTX 4090 graphics cards after the first release is obviously not optimistic, and the official flagship stores of major brands are generally reserved, that is, out of stock.
As for why the stock is out of stock and the price is rising,There is no official response from NVIDIA so far. Sources say that NVIDIA has shifted the production capacity to the higher end H100 accelerator card. RTX 4090 is out of stock and the price increase will continue until early next year.
The price of H100 graphics card is much more expensive than RTX 4090 graphics card. The previous information leaked by Japan shows that the PCIe version is more than 4.75 million yen, and the RMB is more than 240,000 yuan. The price of SXM version should be more expensive.
The H100 accelerator card was released in March this year, and NVIDIA announced at the GTC conference in September that the H100 graphics card will start shipping in October. The three major cloud service providers, Amazon, Google and Microsoft, will be the first to use the card, as well as scientific institutions and universities, which are in strong demand.
The H100 accelerator card uses Hopper architecture, GH100 core, TSMC 4nm manufacturing process, CoWoS 2.5D packaging technology, integrated 80 billion transistors, core area of 814 square millimeters.
It has 18,432 CUDA cores, 576 Tensor cores, 60MB tier 2 cache, six HBM3/HBM2e 6144-bit width, PCIe 5.0, and fourth-generation NVLink bus support.
The H100 card has two types: SXM and PCIe 5.0. The SXM version has 15,872 CUDA cores and 528 Tensor cores.PCIe 5.0 contains 14,952 CUDA cores and 456 Tensor cores. The compute nodes need up to 700 Watts of power.
