Recently, the Mac version of WPS Office has fully completed the adaptation of M series chips, running WPS on devices equipped with M2 chip, longer standby time, faster running speed, and more smooth operation experience.
Apple's M2 chip is built with the second-generation 5nm technology, and is equipped with more than 20 billion transistors, 8 CPU cores, up to 10 GPU cores, and a 16-core neural network engine that can perform up to 15.8 trillion calculations per second.
According to official test results,With the addition of the new M2 chip, WPS can greatly improve the speed of opening, editing, and processing documents on Mac laptops, as well as the battery life of Mac laptops, and make the operating experience smoother.
In terms of power consumption,Running WPS on devices with M1/M2 chips significantly reduces average power consumption compared to Intel-powered Mac laptops. The battery life of devices with the M2 chip is 20% higher than that of devices with the M1 chip, and up to 50% higher than that of devices with the Intel chip.
In terms of running speed, taking the opening speed of the three components of WPS text, table and presentation as an example, the running speed of Mac notebook computer equipped with M2 chip has obvious advantages when opening documents of the same size.
For example, if you open a PPT in WPS that is 11.28MB,On average, it takes 0.43 seconds on the M2 chip, which is 27% faster than on the M1 chip and 64% faster than on the Intel chip.
The latest data show that the number of WPS Office mobile and PC monthly active devices has reached 336 million and 238 million respectively.
WPS Office for Mac went live in April 2019 and reached the top of the free download charts in the Mac App Store eight hours after its release. WPS for Mac now has six productivity tools: documents, tables, PPT, PDF, mind maps, and flow charts.
