IT Home December 14, Apple today pushed the iOS 16.2 update and iPadOS 16.2 update (internal version number: 20C65) to iPhone users, this update is 13 days away from the last release and supports iPhone 8 and newer models.

This update brings several important features to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, such as the long-awaited "Infinity Notes," a digital whiteboard app that you can use to do anything while collaborating with friends and colleagues.

According to reports, Apple has addressed everything from graphics drivers to WebKit to the kernel in this update, as well as bugs in Safari, weather, photos, etc. While these vulnerabilities have not yet been maliciously exploited, it is still necessary to install the update.

In addition, Apple has made many iOS 15.7.2 and iPadOS 15.7.2 updates available for users unable to install iOS 16.2 that include the same fixes, and similar fixes are available in iCloud for tvOS 16.2, watchOS 9.2, and Windows 14.1.

Apple highlighted that the same fix is available in macOS Ventura 13.1, but that one of the WebKit vulnerabilities may have been actively exploited, while for iOS versions released before iOS 15.1, Apple has fixed the vulnerability in iOS 16.1.2.

IT Home reminds that users who cannot update to Ventura can install macOS Monterey 12.6.2 or macOS Big Sur 11.7.2 to get protection against certain vulnerabilities.
