As expected, Microsoft has officially discontinued Windows 10, which includes the system's product key/license (currently only the official digital sales channel for Windows 11 is available), but there's nothing to worry about because the relevant ISO images can still be downloaded normally.

According to Microsoft, these downloads include license keys for Windows 10 (necessary to activate and use the downloads), which will also be removed for more than two years before Microsoft stops officially supporting Windows 10 on Oct. 14, 2025.

While buying Windows 10 licenses from Microsoft will become impossible, buying product keys from other online retailers is not a problem.

On the Windows 10 Home and Professional Lifecycle Policy page, Microsoft has made it clear that it will continue to provide updates for older Windows 10 machines until October 14, 2025.

The company believes Windows 10 is the right choice for those "who are not ready to transition to new hardware" or if they prefer the old interface to the new one.

Of course, you can purchase a Windows 11 license and downgrade your copy to Windows 10 using an ISO. downgrading from Windows 11 to Windows 10 is also allowed, and Microsoft will automatically activate the Windows 10 license.

A previous survey showed that many people are reluctant to upgrade Window 11, and its reasons are quite realistic, than there are many people very uncomfortable with the new system's start menu, with the centered taskbar, simply anti-human.

In addition, the right-click menu of Windows 11, however, complicates things, many common functions are hidden under the “More”, that is, from the first level to the second level. The unzip function after installing the three-party software is also placed in the second-level directory.

The most critical point is that Win11 at the beginning of the release of the TPM module version, processor and other harsh requirements, although there are many ways to get around, but the fact that the OTA update afterwards is still affected, Microsoft still forces you to upgrade the hardware configuration.
