Microsoft sees ChatGPT, from OpenAI, as the most important opportunity to revolutionize the Internet after cloud computing.

Microsoft will continue to expand the reach of generative AI technologies, such as its blockbuster Office products, after the ChatGPT optimization experience was initially integrated into Edge and Bing search.

Microsoft's OpenAI, or ChatGPT, foundation is called the Prometheus Model, and in March, the company will show how it enables productivity tools and improves efficiency, sources said.

Productivity tools already being tested include Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, for example, where integrating ChatGPT can help improve search suggestions and compose and respond to emails more efficiently.

In fact, ChatGPT is already available in the Office Web version to optimize document writing.

Ubs analysts estimate that ChatGPT reached 100 million monthly hits in just two months, and the new Bing sidebar had more than 1 million signups within 48 hours of its launch.
