On the morning of February 22, Sina Science and Technology learned exclusively that ele.me 's high-end takeout App has ceased operation, and the business has changed its name for Baidu takeout acquired by ele.me, which means that the former third largest takeout platform ele.me (Baidu takeout) has become history.

The relevant staff of ele.me confirmed the news to Sina science and technology, and said that the server had been shut down in 2021 and the related services were incorporated into ele.me App. At present, the App can no longer be searched and downloaded in major app stores.

The predecessor of ele.me Xingxuan was Baidu takeout. In August 2017, ele.me officially announced the acquisition of Baidu takeout. In October 2018, Baidu takeout officially changed its name to "ele.me Xingxuan", positioning the high-end catering takeout platform. Wang Jingfeng, then vice president of ele.me, served as the person in charge of ele.me takeout.

According to a report released by Trustdata, in 2018, the market share of Q1 Meituan takeout was 54%, ele.me 35%, Baidu takeout (ele.me selected) 5%. For comparison, according to the same data released by Trustdata, Q1 Meituan accounted for 67.3%, 26.9% and 4% of Q1 takeout transactions in 2020. Baidu takeout in the renamed ele.me selection, the market share is in a state of decline.
