Ever since Microsoft announced it was buying Activision Blizzard, SONY has been trying to block it.
today SONY is again asking U.K. antitrust authorities to block Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard or force Microsoft to sell the Call of Duty IP.
As for the reasons, SONY said it was concerned that Microsoft would "discriminate" between Call of Duty titles on different platforms, which would affect gamers.
Microsoft, for its part, has signed 10-year deals with both Nintendo and NVIDIA to offer Call of Duty titles simultaneously on those platforms.
Microsoft, meanwhile, said it was willing to sign a similar 10-year deal with SONY,It doesn't even matter that SONY is adding the Call of Duty series to its library of free games for PS Plus members.
But SONY didn't buy it. Jim Ryan, CEO of SONY Interactive Entertainment, said:"I don't want a new Call of Duty deal. I just want to stop Microsoft and Activision Blizzard from merging."
