Speaking at the Morgan Stanley Tech Summit, SONY President and COO Hiroki Shiki expressed his confidence in the PS5 console.

At the summit, Yuki Toshi said:"I think we have a good chance of shipping more than 60 million PS5 units. You know, we've already shipped more than 100 million PS4 units."

As for the overall shipment figures, 10:00 said that PS4 users will eventually migrate to PS5, and that the PS5's ability to attract new users is impressive.

"We have a very loyal audience on PS4. We built PS5 to provide a better user experience. An amazing 30% of current PS5 users have never used a PS4. We've already gained new users with PS5, which gives us good potential to expand and penetrate our PS5 ecosystem."

It's worth mentioning that at the summit,SONY plans to port a large number of first-party games to PC and mobile.

That means more big-name exclusives will be coming to platforms other than the PS5.
