A brief introduction to the characters of Thompson attached to IT House is as follows:

Before joining Symantec, John Thompson worked at IBM for nearly 30 years and was seen as one of the most likely successors.

He became CEO of Symantec in 1999 and led Symantec from a single Norton products company with an annual turnover of US $600 million to a multinational company with an annual turnover of more than US $6 billion and a global leader in the field of information security.

Thompson later became an independent director of Microsoft's board of directors and was appointed chairman of the board on February 4, 2014.

Sandy Peterson (Sandi Peterson) is an American businesswoman. She is currently an operating partner of Clayton,Dubilier&Rice and serves on the board of directors of Microsoft. She served as global chairman of Johnson Group from 2012 to 2018 and previously held leadership positions at Bayer Medical, Medco Healthcare Solutions, Nabesk and Whirlpool.

On the changing roles of Thompson and Peterson, Microsoft CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors Satya Nadella said:
