Samsung plans to build a state-level industrial complex covering 2.15 million pyeong (7.1 million square meters) in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, IT Home reported on March 15.Build 5 cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing lines.
According to the report, Samsung plans to invest 300 trillion won (1.58 trillion yuan) in Gyeonggi Province by 2042 to create the world's largest high-tech system semiconductor cluster based on a single complex.
The project, which Samsung calls the Samsung Semiconductor Mega Cluster, is planned to connect existing semiconductor production sites in Giheung, Hwaseong and Pyeongtaek.
