According to the Wall Street Journal,Foxconn recently said it would reduce its reliance on China as a major source of revenue.

About 70 percent of Foxconn's revenue now comes from mainland China, the company's chairman said on Wednesday's earnings call. In the future, the proportion of the market from outside the Chinese mainland will grow.

Hon Hai plans to increase its annual production of assembled iphones in India to 20 million by 2024 and triple its workforce to 100,000, according to people familiar with the matter. It currently produces about 6 million iphones a year.

In addition to Tamil Nadu province, where Chennai is located, Hon Hai also plans to set up a new manufacturing facility in Karnataka province to assemble products such as iphones, according to people familiar with the matter.

Hon Hai is also considering building a new plant in Hyderabad and a silicon carbide manufacturing and packaging plant for its semiconductor business in India.

As Apple has accelerated its industrial chain adjustment in recent years, India has undoubtedly become an attractive potential option in the eyes of many, but it is still a bit difficult to get rid of Chinese manufacturing.

Some in the supply chain say that these low quality products are only temporary, and in the future, as the maturity increases, there may be more iphones made in India, and it will be hard for you not to buy this version.
