IT House, March 17,Amazon announced today that it will discontinue its Kindle Newsstand service on September 4, 2023.The service sells Kindle content for print items such as popular magazines and offers newspaper subscriptions.

"Effective March 9, 2023, Amazon will no longer sell print, Kindle magazine, and newspaper subscriptions. Amazon is currently no longer accepting Kindle Newsstand subscriptions for new users, print magazine subscriptions are not supported, and existing subscribers will not automatically renew their subscriptions."

Current Kindle Newsstand subscribers will be able to continue receiving new magazines and newspapers through Sept. 4.

"As we move forward with our annual operational plan review process, we keep an eye on each of our businesses and actively adjust to market conditions," Amazon said. After reviewing our magazine and newspaper subscriptions and individual issue sales, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue these services."
