In OLED, South Korean companies have taken more than 75% of the market share. Samsung has taken more than 75% of the market share in small-screen OLED, that is, mobile OLED, and LG has taken a leading position in large-screen OLED.

But we should note that apart from the OLED screen itself, in the OLED screen industry chain, all kinds of OLED screen manufacturing equipment, even OLED driver chips, are monopolized by the United States, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
Especially in the field of OLED driver chips, Taiwan manufacturers and South Korean manufacturers account for less than 95% of the market share, while the total share of Chinese mainland manufacturers is less than 5%. Drivers of BOE and TCL Huaxing, etc. are basically imported from Taiwan and South Korean manufacturers.
However, the good news recently is that the domestic OLED driver chip has made a big breakthrough. This time, it is not only made in China, but also adopts 100% domestic supply chain chip.
What does it mean to use 100% domestic supply chain? That is, from design, OEM production to chip sealing test and other processes to realize localization, in the supply chain security is of great significance, so that there is no need to worry about being jammed, no one can cut off supply.
This chip is ICNA3512, launched by Jicuac North, which is used for OLED curved mobile phones. This chip is the first OLED mobile phone display driver chip that supports LTPO (low refresh rate technology), foldable screen and under screen camera functions introduced by domestic IC design manufacturers.
Why can OLED driver chip achieve national production? In fact, it is very simple, because the OLED driver chip, the required process is not high, at present most are 40nm process, advanced point is 28nm process, using 14nm process are very few. So 100% domestic can be realized.
Clearly, this chip is significant, especially for the domestic OLED screen industry. And this chip also proves that China is fully capable of establishing a 100% domestic supply chain in many semiconductor fields.
