Fast Technology, April 11, according to Elec,All four models of this year's iPhone 15 series will use Samsung's latest M12 material.
On the previous iPhone 14 series, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max used Samsung M12 materials,While the 14 and 14 Plus use M11 material, Apple has made M12 standard on the 15 series.
The Samsung M12 screen is made up of a substrate, cathode, anode, hole injection layer, electron injection layer, hole transport layer, electron transport layer, electron barrier layer, hole barrier layer, and luminescent layer. The manual peak brightness exceeds 1,000 nits and the global peak brightness exceeds 1,500 nits.
It is worth noting that although M12 luminous material is used in both standard version 15 and Pro version, the standard refresh rate of 15 and 15 Plus is still 60Hz. Only Pro and Pro Max versions support Apple ProMotion, which can achieve intelligent adjustment of 1-120Hz refresh rate.
In addition, the first batch of screens for the iPhone 15 series were provided by Samsung. Sources say BOE will not supply screens to Apple for the time being due to light leakage around the Smart Island.
