According to reports, people familiar with the matter said today that the Disney Company will start a second round of layoffs today, affecting about 4000 people.
In February, Disney announced that it would cut 7000 jobs to help the company save $5.5 billion in costs. There are three rounds of layoffs, the first of which was launched at the end of last month. The second round will be held in April and will involve more people than the first round. The third round of layoffs is expected to be completed in late spring and early summer.

The layoffs will affect almost all business units, including Disney Entertainment and ESPN, as well as Disneyland, Disney Parks and Experiences and Products, but front-line hourly workers at the theme park resort (Parks and resorts) will not be affected, according to people familiar with the matter.
