On the other hand, Apple's Lightning technology is old, the delay is high, the charging speed is shameless, and the compatibility is poor, because only Apple's devices have this interface and need to buy a dock for more functions.

At the same time, Apple's official data line is as high as 145 yuan, and now it has cancelled the randomly supplied charger for the so-called environmental protection, and the price of the charger is as high as 149 yuan, which has brought high profits for Apple.

The point is that Apple's data cable is notoriously fragile, which will be damaged if it is not used properly.Then users can only choose to buy the original data cable on the official website or use a third-party Lightning cable.

If a third-party manufacturer wants to make an Lightning cable and obtain official certification, it needs to be licensed by MFi and implanted into Apple's dedicated chip, which costs $2 each, in addition to paying a patent fee to Apple.

Under this service, Apple can earn more than $1 billion a year, which is a real benefit compared to environmental protection.

As a result, it has been revealed that Apple has developed a Lightning&Type-C interface IC, which will be used in the iPhone 15 and MFi certified products to be released this year.

However, the person added that it was most likely to make the new phones and new peripherals compatible with previous devices with iPhone, not just to limit the use of MFi devices by new phones. However, there is no mandatory MFi authentication for the USB-C interface that Apple is using, and it is not clear whether Apple will make any changes on old devices in the future.

Under the constraints of the law, Apple may abandon the practice of using MFi certification on the USB-C interface, and the iPhone 15 series will also use general-purpose USB-C cables, but will maintain the original level of charging power.
