Windows 10 22H2, due in October 2022, will be the last feature update to Windows 10, the time for Microsoft to abandon Windows 10 has long been set.
According to Microsoft, support for all versions of Windows 10 22H2 (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education, Professional Education, Workstation Pro, and iot Enterprise) will end on October 14, 2025.
Now Microsoft is doing it again, announcing that all versions of Windows 10 20H2 will end on May 9, 2023.
In response, Microsoft has also pushed the KB5026361 update to the official versions of Windows 10 20H2, 21H2, and 22H2, increasing the version numbers to 19042.2965, 19044.2965, and 19045.2965, just to address the security update.
For Microsoft now, it's all about getting more Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11, which has reached an all-time high of 23.01%, up 2.06 percentage points from March 2023, according to previous statistics.
The statistical report showed that Windows 10 and 11 accounted for 94.46% of the market share, leaving just over 5% for the remaining dead versions, such as Windows 7 and 8.
