Google unveiled its first folding screen phone, the Pixel Fold, at iPlus O, priced at $1799 (12500 yuan), in line with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold4.
But the tech media XDA found it very bad after getting started, calling it "Google Pixel Fold is bad", which is not as good as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. XDA pointed out that the Google Pixel Fold cannot be placed flat on the desktop, the left side will tilt up, and there is a very obvious crease in the center of the inner screen.
XDA said the Pixel Fold is one of the worst folding screen phones on the market, and it has a very wide frame and an ugly appearance.
Of course, Google Pixel Fold also has advantages. The phone is equipped with a 5x telephoto lens, which has an advantage over the 3x zoom of the Samsung folding screen and is the best telephoto phone on the folding screen.
In addition, the Google Pixel Fold has a 5.8-inch outer screen and a 17.4 aspect ratio, much like the classic 16:9 phone, which is pressure-free to use as a straight phone. By contrast, Samsung's off-screen folding ratio is 23.1 per cent, which is not as coordinated as Google's.
The folding screen will go on sale in June.
