According to the official website of eMagin, Samsung will buy Micro OLED developer eMagin, headquartered in Duchess County, New York, for $218 million. The merger is expected to be completed in the second half of 2023.

Samsung will acquire all issued common shares of eMagin at a premium of 10% per share, or about $2.08 per share (currently about 15 yuan), for a total transaction value of about $218 million (currently about 1.526 billion yuan), eMagin said in a statement. EMagin has been committed to the research and development of Micro OLED technology for many years, and is the leader of Micro OLED display industry in the United States. Its products are mainly used in high-resolution AR / VR devices, covering consumer, military, medical and industrial applications.
