On May 18, according to the 2023 White Paper on the Development of China's Satellite Navigation and Location Service Industry released by the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association,In 2022, the total output value of China's satellite navigation and location service industry reached 500.7 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 6.76%.

Data show that the core output value of chips, navigation data, terminal equipment and infrastructure directly related to the research and development and application of satellite navigation technology reached 152.7 billion yuan, accounting for more than 30 percent of the total.

In 2022, China's total sales of satellite navigation and positioning terminal products exceeded 376 million, of which 264 million smartphones with satellite navigation and positioning functions were shipped, and the sales of Internet of Things, wearable, vehicle mounted and high-precision positioning terminal devices exceeded 100 million per set.

In addition, a number of domestic navigation map suppliers, such as Baidu and Autonavi, have officially switched to Beidou priority positioning, with daily usage exceeding 360 billion times.

By the end of 2022, the total sales volume of domestic Beidou compatible chips and modules had exceeded 300 million, and the total number of terminal products with Beidou positioning function, including smartphones, had exceeded 1.288 billion units per set.

Since 2022, the Beidou System has been integrated into the infrastructure construction of power, natural resources, agriculture, communications, transportation and other industries at an accelerated pace, greatly improving the capability of high-precision location services, and gradually forming a sound situation of in-depth application and large-scale development.

The power industry has completed the construction and deployment of more than 2,000 Beidou foundation enhancement reference stations, and promoted more than 500,000 Beidou application terminals per setTo provide reliable, accurate and stable high-precision location services for intelligent equipment of UAV autonomous inspection, substation robot inspection, tower monitoring and other business applications.

At present, all vehicles in the power industry are installed with Beidou vehicle terminals.

In the field of disaster prevention and reduction, a universal geological disaster monitoring and early warning system with Beidou's high-precision technology at its core has been carried out in more than 10 provinces, including Yunnan and Sichuan.

The system combines various sensors, such as Beidou high-precision receiver and rain gauge, to monitor deformation, cracks and groundwater level of hidden danger points of the disaster body and realize remote online real-time monitoring, analysis and early warning.

Low-cost, low-energy Beidou landslide warning devices have been installed at more than 22,000 potential disaster sites in 17 provincesTo realize "civil air defense plus technical defense", improve disaster early warning capabilities, and effectively protect the safety of people's lives and property.
