Huawei has already provided upgrade services for Kunlun glass for a number of models, starting at 589 yuan, and now four new models have been added.
From October 30, 2022 to June 30, 2023, Huawei models will replace Kunlun glass for as little as 589 yuan.
Previously, Mate30/40/50 series and P40amp 50 series have supported the replacement of Kunlun glass.Now four models have been added, namely Mate X3 folding screen, P60, P60 Pro and P60 Art version, the price is 619 yuan and 719 yuan.
It is understood that before Kunlun Glass, the vast majority of glass panels in the industry were chemically strengthened mainly through the glass surface, but the strength of the glass structure itself was not high. Once the external force exceeded the critical value, the structure of the strengthening layer was destroyed. Cracks will spread to the inside, causing the glass to break.
At present, the thickness of the strengthening layer of the traditional glass panel is about 150um, which only depends on the technical path of strengthening layer to meet the ceiling.
So Huawei engineers took a different approach and found inspiration from hard and durable reinforced concrete structures.It is established that a large number of nanocrystals are introduced into the glass to form a dense supporting structure, so as to improve the fall resistance of the glass.
Finally, by introducing specific metal oxides, Huawei introduced hundreds of millions of high-strength nanocrystals into Kunlun glass, coupled with composite ion enhanced implantation technology, to form a micron hard protective layer on the surface of the glass. the transparent optical material with the fusion of high-strength crystal and glass is obtained, and the industry problem of strength and optical matching of glass-ceramic material is finally solved, and the anti-falling ability is increased to 10 times. It can effectively reduce the damage when the mobile phone falls accidentally.
